ATC SYSTEMS ENGINEER (Air Traffic Engineer - ATE)

Permanent – Full Time

Salary £30,000 to £40,000 (Depending on Specific Experience)

PERSON SPECIFICATION – ATC SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Experience:

1.    Minimum 5 years ATC Systems Engineering – Highly Desirable
2.    UK Airport Experience - Highly Desirable
3.    Project Engineering Experience (System Design, Project Planning,) - Desirable

Skills and Qualifications:

4.    Preferably HNC (or equivalent) qualified in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
5.    Good RF knowledge and skills - Highly Desirable
6.    Excellent IT skills - Essential
7.    Excellent Customer Facing Skills - Highly Desirable

Requirements of the Job:

8.    Work both in UK and abroad as required
9.    Work independently and as part of a small team
10.    Provide comprehensive support to Project Management team
11.    Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times

Systems Experience:

12.    Will have experience on some or all of the following:
13.    Navigation Aids (ILS, VOR, DME, NDB, DF)
14.    Communications (VCCS, Radio Systems, Antenna Systems, Cabling Systems)
15.    Radar (PSR, SSR, SMR)
16.    Control and Monitoring Systems
17.    Fibre, Copper and Wireless Networks

Additional Requirements:

1.    Ability to communicate at all levels with both staff and customers
2.    Ability to develop relationships with customers and establish long-term partnerships
3.    Ability to plan, prioritise and deliver to schedule
4.    Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
5.    Self-motivated team player
6.    Full driving license.


OTHER INFORMATION TO NOTE:

1.    The nature of the job may require worldwide travel, occasionally for extended periods of time.

2.    It is the responsibility of the individual to ensure that all appropriate steps are taken to facilitate travel at short notice which means that passports and vaccinations etc. should always be up to date.

3.    It is a requirement of Systems Interface that its employees are aware of, and conform to legal requirements in all activities, both internal and external. 4.    This position is offered subject to security clearance via Disclosure Scotland.   This is required in order to obtain airport security passes.

We are always looking for experienced Installation and Commissioning Engineers for Ground Based Navigational Aids, Airfield Ground Lighting, Radar Systems, HF/VHF/UHF Communications Systems and Air Traffic Control Systems.

In addition, we maintain a register of contractors and consultants to meet special requirements.
