PURPOSE/SCOPE
The management of those
projects assigned by Projects Director, providing technical input
for all aspects of projects, including design and system interface
in order to facilitate the delivery of projects within time and
budget, and maintain customer satisfaction,
PRINCIPAL
ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Review technical aspects of invitations to tender,
assess customer technical requirements and review equipment
specifications.
2.
Liaise with manufacturers and assist in compilation
of tender documents in order to ensure all technical aspects and
compliances of customer requirements are fully understood and to
ensure that all tenders are correctly costed to minimise any
potential financial risk to the Company
3.
Liaise with relevant sub-contractors in order to
ensure that all technical details and requirements are included
and correctly costed. The engagement of any subcontractors will be
made with the authorisation of the Project Director.
4. If required attend site
surveys prior to equipment installations in order to ensure that
all requirements for the installation of equipment is fully
understood
5. Plan, organise and monitor the work of the Engineers
to ensure all targets and quality standards are met at all times
6. Compile drawings in relation to site layouts and
plans so that engineers on site
are fully informed regarding the installation task. To include
preparation of all final drawings for projects to be submitted to
the customer
7.
Effectively coordinate all contractual issues
related to the project administration of
all
aspects in relation to the running of projects, to include, but
not limited to:
i.
Ensure all materials are supplied for each project
ii. Raise all Purchase Orders for the necessary
equipment, and provision of all information to enable Sales
invoices to be raised
iii. Production of all schedules and documentation,
including Field Services Planning Documents, and initiation of any
amendments to the Scope of Supply in a timely manner
iv.
Customer and staff liaison
v. Application for Export licenses
vi.
Ensure that all financial requirements such as bonds
and Letters of Credit are raised in a timely manner, and that all
documentation is correct prior to submission to Bank
8. Make all endeavours to ensure that Projects are run
within budget and to schedule and to inform the Projects Director
if either budget or schedule is at risk, immediately it becomes
known in order to ensure that remedial action can be taken
9. In order to maintain quality of service at all times
ensure that all contractual documentation is provided
in accordance with the contract, specifically:
a.
Minutes of meetings with customers
b.
Periodic reports
c.
Project schedules
d.
Statement of Work
e.
Drawings/Plans etc
f.
Project Management Plans
10.
Attend meetings with potential customers and
undertake negotiations on behalf of the company, in order to
generate more business.
11. Carryout other duties as may reasonably be required.
Knowledge/Skills
1.
Ability
to communicate at all levels with both staff and customers
2. Ability
to develop relationships with customers and establish long-term
partnerships
3. Technical
experience of various airport Navigational Aids and Air Traffic
Control Systems would be useful.

Tower Systems – VCS, Voice Records, VHF & UHF Radio, Remote
Control & Montioring Systems
4. Previous
proven project management and sales experience with similar
projects worldwide
5. Some
experience of working with ground based navigational aids
desirable
6. Ability
to plan, prioritise and deliver to schedule
7. Ability
to troubleshoot and problem solve
8. Excellent
IT and spreadsheet skills
9.
Self-motivated
team player
10.
Full
UK driving license.
